You May Enjoy Your Own Pineapple Fountain
Although not widely known, the pineapple has been influential across cultural, decorative, and architectural traditions for centuries. The image of the pineapple as been made a part of the design or provided inspiration for furniture, stonework, wall sculpture, pedestals, and corbels. It isn’t a surprise that this fruit, so often associated with hospitality and a warm, inviting atmosphere has appeared as water features either. The pineapple fountain is one of the more interesting and attractive results.
The pineapple fountain has had a decidedly American heritage, dating back to the colonial times when the fruit was probably discovered in South America, and later exported to European countries from the Caribbean in the 17th century. The pineapple was quickly identified not only for its succulent taste, but also for its unusual appearance. Both the aesthetics and the decorative possibilities of the fruit spawned a long period of home design and decoration that incorporated the pineapple. The pineapple was just one of many creations produced during this exciting period.
When it was first produced, the pineapple fountain was a elegant design that appeared in the habitats of the well-to-do. Beautifully crafted pineapple fountains appeared in the homes of planters, aristocrats, and members of nobility. Additionally, the pineapple fountain found became associated with public architecture. This could mean fountains situated in city parks or in front of courthouses.
For the following centuries, the pineapple fountain continued with a number of different designs and multiple styles appearing in homes and public sites. Even today, all across America, pineapple designs, including the pineapple fountain, are still a part of decorative schemes.
With the advent of better technology, new, more versatile construction materials have appeared, allowing the pineapple fountain to move inside the home or indoor space. Like other water fountain models, the pineapple fountain is being constructed of lightweight materials like fiberglass, resin, and durable plastics. This doesn’t mean that manufacturers have stopped using traditional materials like stone, concrete, and metal. There is a give and take in the industry. The vast selection of fountain styles is a result of a serious demand for both quality and variety.
The pineapple fountain has remained a very sought-after water fountain. Simply by going online and doing a search for fountains, you will see hundreds of results pages for competitive dealers offering great products at low prices. It is quite possible to spend several hours looking at images of fountains and other water features.
The pineapple fountain is a great option when you have a cohesive garden style or interior design arranged for it first. With sufficient planning prior to actually buying fountains, the more possible it is for you find the perfect pineapple fountain that meets your needs. The point of entry for a serious buyer is always the research. Stop all of the speculation about a particular choice or if it will fit your plans by doing competent research at the outset.
